It's a couple years old so some have probably seen it already, but probably the coolest color pattern I've ever seen on a muskie.

What is a leopard tiger muskie? Is that some sort of hybrid, or just an odd coloration??

I like the "boldness" of your fish. My PB had vermiculations like that on her back and head. Her sides were patterned like yours, but mine were more washed out and not as dramatic.

Just to clarify, that wasn't me in the picture. I just found that online and thought some folks might find it interesting.

That fish you caught had a heck of an interesting pattern itself though. These "leopard muskies" must be more common than I'd realized.

I guess I've never considered mine a "leopard." I think mine is just a vermiculated variation on the back. And I've seen numerous fish (that I and others have caught) with the same pattern on the side. I even caught one that was "leopard" on the front half and fairly normal looking spots on the back half. I think it's just tightly patterned GLS markings. But they do look cool.
