I caught this fish yesterday on a black ten inch weagle at big spirit lake. the head is the most bizarre thing ive ever seen! must be eating fine though. it was 41 inches which is my personal best in my young musky fishing career! also caught 2 30 inch silver pike that day as well! but this thing is weird. what do you guys think?

I forgot why this happens but I will find out for you, I have a bad memory! Here's a picture from a few years back of a similar fish but it was a bigggg Tiger.

I've caught three that look just like that - Interestingly 2 ate a weagle as well ...but they can have a hard time eating it - I missed one of them 3 times before it could get the bait in its deformed mouth.

It seems to be a common deformity in muskies, affectionately known as a "dork". I've seen lots of pictures, but never caught one.

My friend said it must be a packers or Vikings fan Muskie. Said fans of those teams are always a little odd:P

i caught one like that one time and it had superline wrapped all around its face. I always wondered if the superline made the deformity.

Well, she ate my grinder (somehow) and i removed the grinder and all the line from her face and let her go. I always said to myself, best thing she could have done is eat my grinder............

There is a musky in the Cabela's tank in Rogers MN that has a face like that... or maybe it's a pike... either way it is still weird
