Here is a one page word document that I quickly put together for some less experienced musky fishermen. It explains and shows the basics of handling an esox.

Thanks. I've yet to catch & release my first musky so posts like this and the videos on this site are extremely helpful.

Good writing! The one thing I would add is the use of a floating ruler and measuring the fish in the water instead of laying the fish in the boat.

That's a good idea. I've put together a couple of brochures and even created a website about c&r. The trick is getting the info into the hands of those who need to see it. Not an easy task. I haven't updated my catch & release site for months, but here is a link to it if anyone wants to have a look. Please let me know if I missed anything. Good luck with the project.

One thing to add. Always wet your hands, as dry hands will also strip the slim off of them. This goes for anyone handling the fish.
