Posts: 2024 | My suggestion would be to run a SEARCH on your questions. You will find MORE THAN ENOUGH info cruising a couple year's worth of reel/rod/line/lure selections than one thread could possibly provide you.

Posts: 7037 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Rick, Check out this contest we ran last year, it's basically a "how to" outfit for the newly minted muskie fisherman. You might not want to spend $1000 on gear to start, but this gives you a good idea of how others would start the madness fresh. http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=28... Good luck, welcome to the site, and to the addiction.

Posts: 14 Location: Olathe< Kansas | Thanks Andrew for the welcome and info. That list is of lures and equipment for the contest is great. I started doing a lot of the reading..Man there is so much info out there. ;>) Most likely start with one rod and reel combo for muskie. If you were going to get one "all-aroud" rod.. The quistion I have is not the brand -- But what - LGTH - Power - Lure wt. - etc --?? Sorry about all the questions.. Thanks for all your help. Rick
