Here the keel is being added by fitting it and epoxying it to the keel strip. Later it will be reinforced with fiberglass, epoxy, varnish, & a brass keel strip. | Here is the completely fiberglassed and clear coated outer hull with the keel attached. | Starting down the home stretch now - here the boat is being flipped so we can sand, fiberglass, and clear coat the inner hull. | The boat is flipped and ready to start the inside hull work.
Yup - this is only 35". What makes this fish special to me is that it is the FIRST fish I have caught on a figure 8. Every single time I figure 8 I freak out and choke but finally got one. One monkey removed from its perch on my back. | Here's a 41" I caught on 7/16 while on LOTW fishing with Steve Heiting. Lesson: watch for finger prints on your lense - the lower right corner of the photo is blurred. | Here's a 47 inch musky I caught on LOTW on 7/16. | This is a close up of the fairing of the inside of the hull with a scraper.
Here the inner hull is completely faired and ready to be sanded. | Here the inner fiberglass is being applied to the boat. | I got this musky on 7/27/07 on a bucktail - this is the biggest musky I have gotten wading in rivers to fish. | Just a little guy, 37", but it's my first with my son in the boat. I couldn't get him to look at the camera as he was too busy watching the fish. Sorry for the vertical hold - I was trying to keep him in the picture. Fish swam away great.
