This is a side view of the finished stripping.

This is a close-up of the planing of the strips to be flush with the keel.

Here is a picture of the leveling of the strips to the keel stip with a plane.

A little out of order on these last 4 as I didn't have these pictures on the same camera. Here we are truing up the boards prior to cutting strips.

Same thing here - out of order. He we are fairing the internal stem. The strips have to sit flush on the stem so you use a rasp or plane to shape the stem so they are flush.

Another out of order picture - here we are cutting the strips to size. The strips are 3/4" wide and 1/4" thick.

Here's the bottom of the boat and this is getting trickier - it just takes more time as you have to trim each piece to match the keel strip. Just time consuming.

Done for the day - we got within a few inches of the keel with our strips.

Fairing the front stem a little more. As you get to the water line on the boat the cedar strips really start to torque and you are adjusting the front of the boat to keep the strips tight.

Now both sides are catching up on the strips.

A picture of the lines of the boat during stripping.
