Author: ShaneW (Show all albums) Building a row troller plus other pictures....The boat is being built with the help of four people - Jerry Cooper and his friend Richard, my mom Karin, and myself. |

Here we are setting the forms of the boat. | Here's a picture of the transom form. | Here we are with cut out transom pieces. | Here we are laminating the transom.
Adding epoxy prior to laminating the transom. The transom is going to be three wood layers - one oak, one cherry, and one walnut. | In the end we went with a completely cherry transom stained dark for contrast. | Here we are beveling the forms so the strips fit the form of the boat. | Here is the step where you tape the forms to keep epoxy from dripping to the forms.
Here we are gluing the stem strips with epoxy paste. | Here we take the glued stem strips and clamp them to the stem form. I was amazed how you could actually bend 2-3" of wood by bending slowly and using clamps. | Here is the fully bent and clamped stem waiting to cure. | Here's a picture of the transom (and my mom's dog). The boat will be named Natalie's Pride after my daughter.
