Here we are setting the forms of the boat.

Here's a picture of the transom form.

Here we are with cut out transom pieces.

Here we are laminating the transom.

Adding epoxy prior to laminating the transom. The transom is going to be three wood layers - one oak, one cherry, and one walnut.

In the end we went with a completely cherry transom stained dark for contrast.

Here we are beveling the forms so the strips fit the form of the boat.

Here is the step where you tape the forms to keep epoxy from dripping to the forms.

Here we are gluing the stem strips with epoxy paste.

Here we take the glued stem strips and clamp them to the stem form. I was amazed how you could actually bend 2-3" of wood by bending slowly and using clamps.

Here is the fully bent and clamped stem waiting to cure.

Here's a picture of the transom (and my mom's dog). The boat will be named Natalie's Pride after my daughter.
