The "no wake" was fun for a bit this summer but unless you want to see every slightly pinched down area turned into a no wake area I suggest you sign the petition.

For what reasons do you oppose the wake restrictions on the proposed areas? They are very small in relation to the lake. I do not encourage ridiculous regulations or restrictions on public waters, but I can't argue the proposed. The areas are very small and I would imagine that wake erosion in these areas is very evident. Besides, if this does come to light, then we will always have a calm place on the lake to get away. Just my 2 cents.

As a property owner on a 300 acre lake I would sign an anti wake or maximum wake petition in a heartbeat. Wakeboard boats are being loaded with over 1000 pounds of rear water ballast to create huge wakes that they surf on. Our moored boats are all beat up.

Love me some no wake but it won't matter much if the locals and dinner yachts ignore it like they did this year.

^ I agree..nothing worse than those annoying jet ski's and rich kids driving daddy's Donzi at mach 1 within casting distance. Make the whole lake no wake for all I care.

If it would have been up to me I would have kept the no wake on Tonka all year. I hope they bring that back and leave it longer this time. No pleasure boaters around ... oh how peaceful it was! LOVE NO WAKE!!!

I would sign a KEEP THE NO WAKE PETITION in a heartbeat----Nothing worse than the wake boats and loaded down speedboats---they will ruin a nice outing on the lake everytime.

I enjoyed the no wake, granted it took longer to get to certain spots but it was much more enjoyable fishing. Even on windless days boat traffic can make it ruff. Here's hoping to early spring rain.

Make the entire lake no wake and maybe I'll venture out there to actually do some fishing. I say we make every lake 400 acres and smaller no wake, I don't need junior and his buddies ruining a perfectly good day fishing.

This is a non-issue. Anyone who knows and regularly fishes the lake should know it won't effect us at all! Of all the issues that need a petition......

Why not make the pinched down area around Spirit Island No Wake or the area to the South of Big Island No Wake.
Short sighted Ben, short sighted!!

The old "slippery slope." Really? The shoreline is clearly different in the area in question. I(and many others) go through there carefully out of common courtesy. Virtually no impact on boating. Easy, cheap fix to a real problem with a bonus of increased safety. No future "No Wake" plans. They spent millions to rip rap the BI shoreline 5 years ago. Non-issue.

Turns out the chairman is also worried about the old slippery slope. Yes, really!
