Thinking about some of the funny responses I've gotten when clients and coworkers saw some of my fish pictures in my office...

1. Oh my GOD. What IS that?!
2. Did you CATCH that?!! (nope #*^@ thing jumped into my hands right in front of the camera)
3. What do you use for bait?? (cats. Drive's 'em nuts, especially the fluffy ones!)
4. Did you eat it? (Yep. On the spot. Bones and all.)
5. Whaddya mean you didn't eat it?!?!
6. Why catch it if you're just going to put it back?
7. I'm never going swimming again!!!
8. My cousin/uncle/brother in law caught one that was 7 feet long!!
9. Oh my GOD. I wouldn't touch that thing!!
10. Is that a perch? (She wasn't kidding)

You forgot "How long did it take to reel that in?"

#7 is the worst. It wasn't even funny the first 10,000 times you heard it.

Didja ketch that feeshing for Wahleye?
What kind of line do you cast for those things?
Are those teeth real?
Is that a shark?
That is sorta pretty. Do they smell bad?
How do you cut those things up?
Is that...like...a catfish?
Is that a real picture?
I bet that was a big fight, did it take an hour to catch it?
I thought that was a Senator.

Pah. It's Winter here NOW. Temps in the teens to single digits at night and highs under freezing to as little as 20 degrees for the next ten days. The wood boiler was fired up a few days ago to prevent lines freezing.

The X170 is getting winterized and stored tomorrow, and the 1760T Sunday. Time to get ready for ICE, Sue needs to harvest a buck with the Barnett ( i got one for the freezer yesterday), and I need to put one down with the smoke pole.

I love this time of the year.

Edit; Just lost my satellite signal due to too much snow on the dish. I have had entirely too much beer celebrating a buck we harvested yesterday to even think about going out there. Bed time.

Them good to eat?

I had one of those on and it swam under the boat and I could see the head on one side and the tail on the other side.

We catch some bigger then that every year when we go to Canada.

1) Where did you catch it? (usually put finger in my mouth, pull and say "right here".)
2) How deep were you?
3) What bait did you use?
4) What time of day?

How long did it take you to reel that in is the number 1 question I get.

Then did you eat it is the second.

"What do they taste like?"
Amazingly enough they taste allot like a loon crossed with a bald eagle.

"Huh?"
