I'm in the market for a new/newer boat. Currently i have a modified v jon boat. It works good, but can't handle some bigger water. I'm thinking I want to go with a glass boat like a 618t or osprey. I'm looking to spend around 20k. Any suggestions?

618T is an awesome rig. I have had mine for over a year and could not be happier. They are a little difficult to find used, but if you find a good deal snatch it up quick because it will be gone.

I just traded a 618t for a Skeeter mx1825.
The 618 is a great tiller boat. I was very happy with mine and I only traded because as I get older I want the walk through windshield to hide behind.
Also, if you get a big tiller boat try to find one with the power steering unit, it made mine much nicer to drive.

My buddy bought a yarcraft 209tfx this year. Best big water boat I've ever been in. I have been looking at a new 186 tfx. Super nice layout. And really nice fit and finish.

I have a 618t and am very happy with it. With that said I do wish I could find a power steering unit for it. Dosnt look like its offered for the 90hp etec any more

The power steering is great on big tillers, but sadly Merc bought the company, and they are now only sold for Mercs.

I have read, I think on walleye central, that the 618s with E-tecs have much less steering torque with 4 blade props.
