Location: Plainfield, IL | I am heading up to villas in mid October with a few buddies that are not musky guys. I want to try and show them why I am a musky nut, but don't know the area well. I have fished the eagle chain twice and put a few fish in the boat, but I am looking for our best shot at a few fish. Also is it to early for suckers up that way? Any info is greatly appreciated. |

| Not too early for suckers at all. I hear they eating suckers really good up there now.
If you want numbers, look at Ballard, Wildcat or the Eagle River Chain. Wildcat would be your best bet for multiple fish. They may be a little smaller, but there sure are a lot of them in that lake.
Then look for bigger/deeper water lakes for bigger fish. |

| Quick google search showed me that there is a state owned island that may be camped on, and a possible campground in the Northern Highland State Forest that has shoreline on the lake.

Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for. But Wildcat isn't far from Boulder Junction. Has to be plenty of camping and cheaper lodging around there. |

Location: oconomowoc, wi | just south of boulder jct.. Trout lake has quite a few areas for camping. right on the water. |
