Has anyone been to McGregor Bay on Lake Heron to fish? Always looking for a new spot for my men's church group within 12-13 hours of Southern Ohio. If you have not been to McGregor Bay, but have other Canadian spots in a 12-13 driving distance of southern Ohio, please let me know.

Thanks,
GBAYADS

Coltboy75.

I have fished the area for a number of years I will tell you this its a great time however is a super low density fisher. It is not uncommon for a group of guys to catch one fish in a week. The French river delta area is much more productive in terms of numbers and a shorter drive. However that being said if you want to hun a giant and are ok with the chance of getting skunked for days on end its a great spot.

Thanks for the reply. There are only a few guys in the group (myself included) who musky hunt. The rest are tickled to death to catch alot of pike and small mouth bass. We have been going to Lake Nipeeing at the mouth of the French River for 18 years and the fishing is going downhill (in our opinion) because of gill netting so we are looking for different places. Does McGregor Bay offer a lot of pike and small mouth?
