If he's fishing the Canada side and the Ontario MNR gets wind of it, that may be a real possibility.

I don't know this first hand, but I have heard from those less fortunate that when the MNR gets done with you, you'll wish you never fished a day in your life!

Can anyone confirm if that's the Ontario side or not? I sent the link to the MNR.

I found that randomly on YouTube and couldn't believe what I was watching. Absolute disgrace to fishing.

I know that Sweetness. he,s been poaching all his life. caught my lab in his rabbit snares 2x. he sells walleyes and obvious clubs skies. the mnr will be at his front door this morning. he will probably go to the hoosegow instead of pay a fine. sad eh. .
kudo,s to the young lads that videoed this. theres no room here in the st clair area for these jerks

We need to arm ourselves with information that proves a fishery with a healthy muskie population is a healthier fishery of all species including the "favorites". Is this not true ?

Unfortunately that happens on a regular basis on LSC & the DR. On a regular basis I will either be on the water on the DR or LSC or leaving or coming into the dock & people will ask me what I’m fishing for & when I tell them “musky” they respond by saying; “I hope you kill everyone that you catch.”

It pains me to see this, and knowing it could take place anywhere, and does, is just sickening. Especially knowing how hard clubs, natural resource departments, And most musky fisherman practicing C&R work at building and preserving this resource for the future of keeping something to enjoy. Ive approached people on the catch and release and handling issue in the past all with the same sort of narrow minded reply or argument of mind your own business.( Even during the biggest C&R tournament in the state) Honestly, it is my business, its your business too! Ive been a part of a club for a long time, and have helped raise money, donated time, and actually helped plant and stock fish in various local waters. As many on this site have contributed to, in some form, in/on your fisheries/lakes. Kudos to all of you who do care, And do work at keeping their fisheries alive, and keep spreading awareness and importance of what we as whole want to achieve. And a big up to the guys who kept cool and got video and pictures of, not necessarily the most ignorant dude out there, but possibly, one of there leaders. :P With that much footage, He should definitely be made an example of. Thank You!

hopefully the c.o has visited. I have not heard yet. as charges are not public knowledge until its thru courts on Ontario. I know the dingbat. no job does not care poaches rabbits/fish. theres a few here but there getting weeded out.. truly makes it bad for sportsmen and women that care. hopefully a judge that understands the outdoors sits on the bench that day.. I have personally tracked his snare line and cut every wire. some folks should never spawn guess his cousins screwed up

One of the FEW good things about social media....I just hope that more people think to use it for good things like this in the future.

2nd person in less than a week, who was seen doing this...

There was another non-muskie fishing person (IDIOT), observed doing the same things in the Dumping Grounds. His boat had MC numbers, instead of 55E/42E numbers. Stupid knows no border lines.

Unfortunate, it happens a lot more, than people think. Way too many get it during the walleye run in the spring.

Got a call from a OMNR C.O. this morning...Made my day, they know who he is, they have contacted the guys that witnessed/video'd it, I'd say they have a pretty good case against this guy!
