Location: The desert | Wondering if anyone knows what size bearings I need for my trailer? Boat is the 1890 T. Tandem axel trailer.
Obviously I can get them when I replace them, but it's nice to have some on hand just in case.

| Look on the labels near the front of your trailer to find the actual manufacturer (the "Tuff Trail" is rebranding). While you're there write down the VIN.
Call the trailer company, give them the year and VIN and they'll be able to give you your exact inner and outer bearings, races, seals, and hub size info. (My guess is it's a 5 on 4.5" hub with a 1 3/8" x 1 1/16" tapered spindle, but you need to be sure on the hub size and if the spindle is tapered or not.)
Your local Farm & Fleet will probably carry everything you need for less than $60, or you can just order online...carrying a spare hub with pre-greased bearings already installed is way easier than trying to repack bearings on the side of the road!

Location: The desert | Thanks Mike....that was my guess on spindle size too based on the fleet of trailers I have at work.
I'm not sure if its easier to call or to just take it apart! |

Location: Not far enough north! | Its probably a trailmaster trailer. You can go on their website and download a pdf that has the correct bearing, race, and seal numbers and sizes for their trailers. It has part numbers too that will at least transfer at the auto parts store. I downloaded it on my phone and just read the numbers off the list at the store when I needed to get my spares. I always carry sets to replace both sides on the road in a an emergency... |

| I have the same boat I called Tuffy they gave me the trailer contact they were very helpful sent me a part brake down with sizes and part #s I was trying to find the email to fowarded you I will look when I get home. |

Location: The desert | Just a heads up to anyone with this kind of trailer, I found out that the castle but is not secured in place by your standard, very easy to find cotter pin but rather a d washer and tang washer, which are not as easily found. I've spent the better part of a day searching for one around town. No one carries any, but I found someone who can order them. I've ordered 5 of them to keep on hand. |
