| A buddy and me are debating where to go on Wed 9/26. Haven't had the opportunity to hit Silver since last fall. Whats the situation there? Water temps? Fish moving? Any info would be appreciated. [:)] |

| I am not sure either but I may be there next saturday. It will be the first time I drag a sucker this year. Temps at the chain were 60-67 I would imagine silver would be upper 60's. Good luck and post how you did.[:)] |

| Silver 64 degrees. Lake has cleared from summer bloom. Had several lazy follows this weekend, but did not score. lot of sucker fishermen out. |

| Fished Silver Sunday morning with clients. We had two fish up (one on a perch colored crane bait, one on a DB6 - both hot but wouldn't eat). The Crane bait was fishing the weed edge (boat in 10 feet casting into the weeds) and the DB6 came casting a suspended pod of baitfish. Only managed one Northern. Water temps were in the mid 60's. This week will really cause things to drop. Water is very clear.
Several idiots running full bore before 10 am. I hate to see that because it ruins it for everyone else. Where's Silver Lakes finest when you need them. NO WAKE from 7pm to 10am.
If you haven't been there yet this year, you'll certainly get a good laugh out of the boat launch. Someone should lose their job over that. It is rediculous.

| caught 3 on yellow /orange bucktail saturday evening
all three were under 30. friday evening had a follow
from a fat low 40 er. there is a good chance I will
be on silver wednesday also. I have a gold tuffy rampage

| I will be there saturday. Yeah that ramp is a joke. They should have just left it alone. That cop is always chasing somebody before 10am. There are a few idiots out there all the time and it's fun to watch "barney" chase em' down.[:praise:] |

| Well yes the ramp is now officially f@#@%ed up. Hopefully they will get rid of those rocks. It also seems alot shallower now. Anyway, when we got there the water temps were just under 60. we ended up boating three plus one pike. All three muskies came on meat. One was never hooked and we simply reeled it in after it grabbed the sucker. I could see that the fish barely had it and both hooks were outside of its mouth. Another followed up a crankbait pretty hot. I took one of the suckers and dropped it right next to my buddies crankbait as he did an eight. The muskie turned and smoked the sucker. The third was your normal take it and run hit. Overall a fun day considering i havent been there since last fall.[:bigsmile:] |

| Fished Silver Saturday afternoon/evening and Thursday afternoon/evening.
Saturday temps 66----Thursday temps 60.
One Bass on Saturday on a ShallowRaider over the weeds. One Musky nipped at the trailer on a bucktail, fish in the mid teens, inches unfortunately not pounds. [:(] There were a few nice schools of bait in deeper water but no luck deep either.
Another Bass in the weeds on Thursday again on a shallowraider. One follow from a low 30"er very lazy on a jerko. One hit on the jerko too, also felt like a smaller fish. Both skis were after the wind died down and right before the sun dipped below the trees.
Water is ultra clear. The ramp does suck.

| Went out there today and at the ramp 3 idiots in a silver mirrocraft with a 25 yamaha had a 16" bass on the stringer (18" 1 fish limit) and later saw them trolling. No warden today, darn.
Got five hits on suckers and landed a 33 and a 34. Seen two others caught.
I wish they would have left the ramp alone.[:blackeye:] |

| Was out today and had action but no fish. One small one hit my bucktail boatside and came off. Four hits on suckers and three drops and one broke me off clean, sucker, rig and leader. It was a quick strike and hit it right away and it was a 14" sucker. The fish must have ate it right away head first. Pretty mad at myself for that one.
Met JoMusky's brother out there and gave him my extra unused sucker. His little boy got stung by a bee in their van OUCH!
Those guys I mentioned before who was trolling and had an undersized fish read what I said on lake link and are peo'd at me. They hope to see me on the water. I guess they can't follow any laws.[:devil:] |

| Got out there Sat. night about 11:30 'til 3:00 a.m. (only time I could go) Caught another bass, but still no skis. My partner had a good hit, but missed. We fished 11 - 14 ft. weed edge and over the tops. Couldn't even see my partner in the back of the boat it was so foggy. |

| Hit silver today and things were slow. Very windy. Pops caught a 24"er on a crane bait and hooked it right through the eye. Feel bad about that one. I had another small one follow on a grease jr. and it turned on my sucker and I watched it chase it around. It never caught it and I don't know what it thought it was going to do if it caught it. It could not eat it. Very few boats and nobody caught anything. The hunter even missed his shots.[:knockout:] |

| Hit silver today and launched at the private launch only to see that the public ramp was open. It was a gale out there and after three hours the trolling motor would not keep up. Marked alot of skis and had one taker on a sucker. Seen a bend in the rod and not taking any line. Started to reel it in and felt a couple of thumps(thought I had weeds). Seen it was a fish and called my dad back to the boat to set the hook(was his turn). The fish dropped the sucker. After inspection the musky had it perfectly t-boned. I am a moron for sure.
