I went to Island last year once just to try it again. I give it a try once a year. Never saw a fish. Used to like the lake a lot. Rumor was a local was harvesting as he was angry about muskies being in the lake. Small lake like that can't handle much harvest.

Sand Lake does not have muskies in it.

Sand Lake does have muskies in it. They go right under the freeway thru the creek into Johnson Lake and then into Sand. Not saying there is a fishable population, but I've hooked them in there, my family sees them by the dock in May every year, and several years ago a gal caught a 53 incher there.
