Location: oswego, il | It sounds like the fish means something to you and your dad. Every once in awhile size doesn't matter. I think the fact you asked the question answers the question. yes. Still a nice fish even if most don't consider it a true trophy. |

Location: Hayward, Wisconsin | I tried for years to catch a Tiger and always said I'd mount the first legal one I caught (this was before replica's). I finally got a 35 incher and had it mounted. Still enjoy it to this day and it was caught over 30 years ago. |

| If the fish means something to you, the size is irrelevant. The size I have in my head that I need to get to have a replica made is a 40 inch Northern, 45 inch Tiger, and 50 inch musky. That said, I do not fish with my dad much any more and we just fished a few days together for muskies- something he rarely ever does. If we had boated a 40 inch tiger, I probably would have gotten a replica and framed a picture of us holding it together next to the fish. |

| I would not. But...it's your money. Having pics are great, having one physically on the wall is better. Sit on it a bit, let the initial wave of it pass, then look at the cost again. What if he ordered the replica, then got a nice 47" true musky this Fall. What one should get the replica? |

Location: La Crosse, WI | I don't think he's going to get a replica made of it but I was wondering what other peoples thoughts are. I actually wasn't in the boat for when he caught it. We did a week long trip with a bunch of my buddies and my brother and dad. My brother caught another tiger that was 37 inches. Only two tiger muskies we've ever seen and they were caught in back to back days. Also, the one in the picture ate a topwater so that's always a plus. |

Location: Otsego, MN | I have a friend who has caught and not mounted several 50's yet he has a replica of a 47" on the wall. He had boated a handful of 50's before the 47" was mounted. Why did he mount the smaller fish??? He caught that while trolling spinners for walleyes and had to fight that thing for a long time and his dad was there to net the fish and help release it. He has a picture of him and his father who passed away a few years later holding that fish and another picture of his father doing a water release sitting in his living room.
I don't believe the size of the fish matters as much as the story that goes with it. If this is important to you or your dad do it! |

Location: Maplewood, MN | Beautiful colors on that one. I like how it is almost black backed. Maybe just have the pic framed? Or, have someone do a painting of that pic. I think that would be unique and special.

Location: La Crosse, WI | Yeah it was beautiful fish, wish I could have been in the boat to see it. Here's a picture of the one my brother caught the next day. First muskie he has ever caught while targeting them and its a 37 inch tiger. Go figure!
