Hey guys!

I was curious if anyone on the forums here fishes in the cities or nearby. I'm looking for a few pointers or ideas of what lakes to hit and where to fish on the lakes seeing as i'm new to the sport.

The only lake I've had success on this year has been Nokomis and that's only been from the dock there with live suckers. I have a little boat with a trolling motor to use which works well. I just don't know what areas to fish or how to determine what areas are good to fish.

If anyone is a "guide" that isn't horribly expensive or even someone who would be willing to take me out for free, I'd be very interested in spending a day or two on the lakes nearby to get a seasoned veteran to teach me a few things in person.

Any and all input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks guy!

or think about joining the Twin Cities chapter of muskies inc,,, there is a fishing league that goes to different lakes every couple weeks through the fall you could partner up with people and learn lakes/tips.
