For my B-Day my family got me a Humminbird "Smartcast" (it's a fairly new product a wireless depthfinder ) well yesterday was such a nice day here in N. ILL I went to the pond by my house and tried it out, this thing works great!!!! the resoloution is not as good as the depthfinders on the boat but is good enough, by using this new toy I found structure on my small pond that I never knew exsisted. If any of you are considering this item I find that it would useful and fun to use

What is this thing? A wireless depth finder; does it have an lcd screen or is it digital? Details, please, I'm curious.

I saw this in a mag. It's a wireless, floating tranducer that you cast/throw out into the water. It sends a signal back to a small LDC display.

Attach it to the back of a remote controlled boat and do some serious scouting.
