Subject: Help with my slip slider!

Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if some of you pros could give me a little help?
I just bought a slip slider and worked for about a half hour today, the problem was that to keep it from riding up to the surface i had to worked incredibly slow. Do all slip sliders need to be worked this slowly, or just mine? I was also wondering if I added weight to the front of it if it would keep it from riding up? The bait sinks really quickly and is weighted well but always rises up whether worked at a snails pace or at mach six, any info would be appreciated, thanks

Keep your rod tip low to the water and make short, soft twitches. They will generally come to the top if you overwork them or jerk too hard. Keep it short, soft and smooth.

Kly, you have to work it slow like most all glide baits. I was using mine today with no troubles. Light taps and as soon as you feel it be done with the tap. You will get the hang of it. Glide baits take practice.

Divani, I am not sure where you are from but many places carry it. It's not a hard bait to find. I am pretty sure rollie and helen's carry it.

hi Todd, I'm from Belgium so many of the lures you all talk about are strange to me! Hope this explains something. I am interested in new things from the US because over here it takes sometimes a 6 months to a year before something new from the US arrives in our shops (not even in Belgium, I have to go to The Netherlands to get them because lurefishing in Belgium is more of an exception than a rule). I'll check out R&H's site. Thanks for the tip!

Divani, I did not see them in r&h's catalog. I did find them on www.guideschoiceproshop.com Look under jerkbaits and not gliders. It's under the wrong category but it's there.

How about you trade some of your european strain pike for some of our hammerhandle strain pike? Deal?[]

Divani a strain is a subspecie of a certain fish. European pike get big. They have to be different than the pike here in the midwestern usa. I was making a joke actually. Hammerhandles are what we call our pike in lakes where they don't get big say only 22-24 inches. Still, want to trade?[:)]
