Location: Illinois | I just recently bought a 9 ft TI xh rod and also have a St. Croix musky mojo 8 ft xh. Are either of these rods going to be able to handle throwing pounders? I think they're only rated for up to 10 oz. |

Location: WI | I bought a St croix xxxh premier this year and it is amazing how much easier it pulls a pounder or mag medusa. Last year I was using X heavy 8'er by another brand and ended up losing a couple fish due to not getting hooks moved enough. Then the rod snapped ! I determined I needed a bit more power. |

Location: Hayward, WI | I have thrown Pounders on the 9' TI XH. It can be done, but I had to carefully lob them, and it felt like the rod was being heavily loaded. For the rod's sake (and mine), I'm sure if I'd want to use them much on that rod. The TI XXH handles them well. |

| Big vote foe the Tackle Industries 9 XXH. One of the best rod I use. Bonus is that's its 1/3 the price of the rods I used to use! Great rod. |

| Okuma makes several rods rated for pounders. I really like my 9'3 but I'm pretty tall. Most people prefer the 8'6. Both are telescopic and great rods at a great price. I would also consider a tooth tamer 8'0 xxxh jawbreaker. I know several people that use these and swear by them. |

| toothtamer jawbreaker or the chaos shock and awe. the 4-12 or 4-16oz rated rods can do it but your at the limit of the rod. i picked up a chaos shock and awe this and love it. awesome rubber rod |

| I don't throw pounders but I will say I finally was able to use the new TI XH and XXH I bought this winter. I've been fishing st croix and okuma for years.
The TI rods are awesome sauce. For the price and functionality I wouldn't buy anything else.

Location: SE Wisconsin | The 9'6" Migizi XH is hands down the most impressive rod I've ever thrown big rubber with. The rod is longer than most and the stiffness makes for SUPER EASY pulls, so less taxing on your upper torso, shoulder and forearm. At the boat, the length and stiffness lets you reach way out to draw big boat-side circles and dig down deep for slow and low follows, yet it maintains a fast tip that loads up when a fish clamps down on your bait.
I also have a 9' XXH split-grip TI rod that is worth every penny and then some. The rod performs above its price tag and looks great to boot. If you want additional info on either rod, send me a PM and I can give you more details! |

No, actually they're not. Different actions all together, the actions are specific to chaos rods. The grips are different and the overall look of the rods are different. They are nothing alike other than a great quality rod for the $$ with great customer service. |
