| Looking at a late-90’s 69x Ranger fisherman boat with a walk-through windshield. I would greatly prefer double “bubble” type plain plexi windscreens. It looks like the Ranger’s of this vintage I’ve seen the plexi windshield was actually screwed directly to the top of the console. Does anyone know what the possibility would be of relatively easily removing the walk-through windshield and replacing with plexi windscreens? Any idea what would be involved, potential cost, availability? |

Location: plant earth | Can't be to hard getting it secured properly would be my only concern. The last thing you want is to be clobbered in the face by it cruising across the lake. Or falling off during transportation. Some type of solid wood framing. Use nuts and bolts not wood screws. |

On cold, rainy days the windshield is a godsend. |

| If there's a single console version of your boat with a bubble style wind screen, you should be able to do it.....if the wind screen is universally shaped and therefore will work on both sides. The previous owner of my boat (Tracker) did this and sold the full windshield online. |

| Do not use Plexi, if you can't get a windscreen from Ranger. Use Lexan, ad Plexi is brittle and can break into sharp pieces. Lexan will not. |
