I'm debating trying to book.a guide for a trip on Green Bay in early October. I figure it's a good time to get a monster as well as the temps being nice. Is this a good time of year to go and if so what guide should I look at hiring? Thanks!

You should hire Kevin Pischke at Lay in a Line Guide service. One of the best most knowledgeable upcoming guides on GB!

Tough to beat the Bretts. Jolly and Alexander.

I know that Brett fishes up north a lot now, but I believe he guides GB in the fall.

I second Kevin Pischke. Did a trip with him last October and had a great time.

No doubt about it...Brett Jolly or Bret Alexander are hands down the best on the bay!!... I'd never fish with anyone one else.

You can't mention the best on the bay without mentioning Eric Larson. The man is ALWAYS on fish. Not to mention the straight fact that he already has had multiple fish days this year with many fish over 50!!!! Give Eric a call. Number is on his website at http://www.rubberhairytackle.com Great guy and great guy to fish with.

I know Eric Larson well and I get text from him weekly of all the big fish he is putting in the boat up there. He is on them in a big way! Not to mention he is a good guy and you will have a good time. I don't really know anyone else that is putting so many big fish in the boat.

^ Have you fished Green Bay or going from TV shows ? Could say more but it would be outside the guidelines.

Eric knows the area and is constantly putting people on big fish, and quite honestly, a lot of them. He wouldn't continue guiding if he didn't. Simple as that.

X 10 on eric larson. I have fished with him and he knows his stuff, especially green bay. He puts a lot of giants in the boat.

I talk with Eric at least once a month and am continually sent pictures of his big fish. I fished with him last year on the Bay and lost one of the biggest fish of my life. No one to blame but myself with a lousy hook set. To the best of my knowledge he has not done any fishing tv shows other than the brief explanations of his lures he sells at the expos and those are on YouTube. I am actually excited to be fishing with him this weekend. Point blank, Eric is constantly on big fish and will put you on big fish.
