The SC Avid Musky rods are great rods... lightweight, strong, and load really well. I have a 7'6" MHF, and a 8' HF. Both had 12" rear handles, so I had them extended 2" and 3", and like how they handle. The front and rear cork grips are thicker with a good feel to them. It's too bad St Croix stopped making these rods. That was a good quality product line.

The rods you're asking about are similar in size with the same capacity, but if you have a need or use for them, I personally wouldn't hesitate to buy either or both as long as they are in good shape. Good Luck.
