Location: Alex or Alek? | Hello all,
A friend and I are headed to Mantrap this Saturday for a all day excursion. I was out there on opener and saw a bunch of fish but couldn't get anything to attack, and heard a lot of the same report from a bunch(it was a zoo) of guys out there.
Just wondering if anybody has been out that way recently to see if the fish have been getting anymore aggressive.
We're going either way so if your planning a Saturday trip we'll see you on the lake! |

| I'm still debating on fishing mantrap or plant for that tourney Saturday. Been tough finding any reports from anyone. |

Location: MN | Not to be a jerk but if you are going either way what does it matter? You will find out when you get there.
My guess is they are more aggressive since the water is likely warmer but that is just a guess. Good luck! |

Yea, I'm sure its going to be busy at both lakes, I totally forgot the tournament is going on, though I have a feeling Cass will be getting hit the hardest. |

Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | Cass will be lightly hit, its not a very good early season lake. Mantrap will draw some boats on Saturday, but with an estimated 80 anglers in 40 boats roughly, it won't seem like any more than normal, many of the guys fishing down there would have already been going there anyways. The bite has been on small bucktails burned shallow. If you can't hit the shore, you're probably not shallow enough. |

Location: Alex or Alek? | Thanks for the info! I dont think it can get busier than it was for opener! It seamed the same way then as well. Though we did have a bunch of fish up on suicks that weekend. |

Location: Alex or Alek? | After a solid 16 hours on the lake, we had one low 40's follow early and had one on for about 30 seconds at about 7 o'clock at night. It was a rough day. |
