Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | 7-inch weighted is my choice for the first month of the season. 9-inch weighted after that. I love the old wood ones but have not tried the new plastic ones yet. Once people start catching/releasing pan fish the Suick is one of my best producers in late May and June. Just hard to find a bait that resembles injured fish like a Suick. Once the Suick gets broke in with lots of paint and wood missing its even better than new. Almost neutral boyancy with some serious hang time. Maybe that will be the next line of Suicks. The New Suspending Suick. Got to love Suicks!!!

Posts: 1245 Location: Walker, MN | I have had such confidence in the 9" un-weighted and weighted over the past 20 yrs that I have not even ventured to try the bigger models. This is the year I think.

Posts: 1039 Location: North St. Paul, MN | I've tried bell sinkers off the split rings. Didn't work too well last year, but I'm going to try to continue to tinker with it this summer. 9" weighted for me, though! I have one lake where they'll eat other lures, but Suicks they devour!

Posts: 6 | Suick 9'' weighted from june to late july. When august kicks in and the weeds are fully grown, I mostly transfer to the non weighted 10'' .... Absolute killing lure to fish it just beneath or in the surface!!

Posts: 392 | I am a huge fan of both wood and plastic 9" suicks. Early in the season and post frontal I like my older water logged black wood suicks - I work them slower and deliberate. As the water warms I like the plastic suicks as they work quicker and more erratic. One of my poles always has a suick on it.
