All graphs (LCX 37c at console and Elite 7/GPS puck at bow) all are run through an accessory switch and wired into starting battery. No issues for 3-4 years and all of a sudden every now and then everything shuts off. There is power still to the accessory switch and all I have to do is turn the graphs back on. Not a huge deal, just annoying to say the least. Went through all the wiring and cannot find anything loose. Cannot figure out why this is happened and now all of a sudden. Anyone have anything similar happen.

I'd guess the battery is getting tired and it's time for a new one.

Check all terminations. It may be time for a new switch, switches do wear out. The contacts become pitted and the contact arm springs weaken. Its likely the switch, even though it apears to have power. It only takes a quick power glitch to shut down most modern power electronics in your boat, e.g. its happens to fast and you typically can't even see it if the switch has a power on LED......

Have fun!

Electronics will have a low voltage shutdown setting, around 10 volts. If your voltage is below 12 and you factor in a slight drop thru the wiring and switch, it doesn't take much to see down around 10 volts AT the units. Mine will start shutting off when I crank the outboard if the battery needs charging.

If this happens when you start the main motor, then I'd look at the battery.

If this is a random, intermittent thing, then it could be the fuse and holder you are using. If that main switch has an inline fuse holder, that could be you issue. I stopped using inline fuse holders many years ago, and switch to the automotive blade style. See the picture below. These can be purchased at West Marine and Fleet Farm stores, and most automotive stores.

Yeah, never had an issue starting motor. Even though that starting battery is going on 5 years, probably due for a new one but dont think thats the specific issue. If it wasnt pulling enough from the starting battery to keep the graphs on, i would assume that i would have noticed it starting the big motor (150 optimax).

Yes, just cuts out intermittently. Fishing......trolly.....cast...look down, all graphs shut off....restart back on just fine. The auxiliary switch does run through the blade style fuse holder. Trolling motor lines have the older in line fuses but that all goes through the circuit breaker anyways. Boat was new in 2009-2010.

You've got an intermittent connection issue. Could be a couple things.
1.the switch itself. Contacts can corrode, or just wear out.
2. One of the connection on the switch. Are these crimp on terminals? Are the nuts tight and corrosion free?
3. You answered the fuse question.
4. Connection at the battery. If you are not losing your graphs when you crank the big motor, then I'd say your battery is still fine.
