I plan on using a 3-4' fluorocarbon leader tied to my braid via a swivel. Can I just take a weight with a swivel attached to it and use a stay lock snap to connect it to my swivel on my leader?

Iv'e done it worked great, both for rubber and crankbaits.

normally trolling we run 5ft leaders.
