Got an old plano musky box. Had upright hangers before they went to square hangers. My problem is I want to make new hangers for box to give to my 7 year old son as first musky box. It was also my first musky box I bought when I was 12. So just wondering what material would work best nand not bleed plastics. Poly carb or plexiglass. Whi h would work best. Thanks

I cut vinyl downspout and placed them into the Plano muskie box. It does add a bunch of weight though. They are placed in there - not glued. Also added a couple of strips of wood along the top to keep the tubes vertical as the side are tapered.

If you are interested, give me a call with the inside dimensions and I should be able to create a polycarbonate divider set for your son's new box. 952 401-8909 Bob Schmitt, Just Encase Products, Inc.

I just made a deck extension box and interleaved 0.090" polycarbonate pieces to make the dividers. I ordered the polycarbonate cut to size off the internet- cutting fees by these internet companies is very minimal but shipping will cost a little. I then cut the slots in the poly(for interleaving the perpendicular pieces) with a standard table saw blade. The blade cut slots that were almost exactly 0.090" and it was a great fit.

One more thing. My research let me to believe that polycarbonate(lexan, macrolan, etc.) is much easier to cut with standard tools. What I heard was Plexiglas chips, shatters, etc.

Thats kind of what I was goin for. Got the tools to cut polycarbon n plexiglass. Just didnt know what was best material to use. Menards sells sheets of both. Just need to bring a sheet of the old hanger with. Any soft plastis bleedin isssues with any of these materials (plexiglass, poly, rain gutters).

I think the Justencase boxes are made with polycarbonate. So I am guessing that material is OK as far as soft plastics. But I'd like to hear from anyone that knows for sure as well.

I don't know what they are made of but is is not soft. I've put 550 lbs on top of mine and it doesn't even creek. Me....I just buy a JustenCase instead of screwing around trying to buy and cut stuff. I was at Bob's house 3 days this past month trying to get the right box. Like people say he came through with the configuration I wanted. Time is money and for the price it is easier to stroke the check

What I meant by soft plastics is that I don't believe soft plastics bleed or react in the Justencase boxes. Is that correct? I didn't mean the boxes are soft, I know they are very strong.
