Had a monster follow today but wouldn't commit in the 8. Ended up with a nice bass and a pike in the boat for the day.

It seems like the lack of weeds has really spread the fish out and not kept them in one place. They are scattered but eating. Breaklines, shad schools, any green weeds have held fish. We have have had multiple fish per trip lately. Got 4 yesterday on the northern lakes but all lakes are producing at some time. It's definitely a different year out there due to lack of weeds but as a whole, fishing in general has been really good. The fish are fat and healthy looking. The hard work and money that the local clubs and Dnr have put into this place has made it a great fishery.
