Well I don't know about the rest of you, but I came away with not too big a hit in the pocket book after the expo this weekend. Didn't spend as much on lures as planned, but got ideas and will be putting in a order before opening day. I got such an awesome deal($50 for a 7' Compre rod) from Reeds I worked out a combo deal and got an Abu C5 to go with it. I think total damage for the weekend was $180.

I think the average was way higher than that! Most of the exhibitors were happy. I spent about $100, and Sue spent about the same.

Probably about $450 when you add the lures (reef hawgs, bulldogs, ddd, grinder, phantoms, etc) to the Thorne Diamondback 7' heavy (regular $330, gave it to us for $250). The rod was my wife's idea. She appreciated how light it felt. She also loves the staff at Thorne's, mainly because they do understand that she loves the sport as much as I do. She is a great wife. Steve, nice to meet you at the MF booth on Sunday.

The damage was not to bad. Had to get two of those "Hawk" like buzzers. Also a Diamond Back rod from Thornes. Disposed of 36 baits at the swap meet. Only bought or traded for 5 additional lures. One Cobbs topwater? A super trap for my collection, a 6" and a 8" fat head Reef Hawg, one Dancin' Raider. Also sold a practically new 6501c abu for $30.00. Ended up the weekend with a few more $$$ than I started with. My advice to anyone out there is to come to the SWAP MEET next year. Great bunch of guys and a great place to hold the swap also. Cold beer, and a great burger. We all had a good time at the show and afterward.

I didn't do to bad, but I didn't go to the show with much money. Once I save up a little more I will be contacting a few manufacturers for a few more baits. I spent $100, and I wish I had known you were selling that 6501 Mike. If you have another one to get rid of at that price, let me know. It was good to just walk around, and talk to people.

Actually there was some serious "dammage" avoided,,,at the swap meet saturday night two of this boards regulars made a comment to a guy dressed in a white fur coat on the dance floor about his "patnner preference lifestyle" I think they thought this because of the white fur coat,,,Turns out the guy was a Boxer from the military,,Drinks were bought in a hurry for the furbearer after that info was learned

Not too bad at the Expo, but the wife wanted to hit the outlet mall at Albertville and the Mall of America.:( I did manage to sneak out 2 All Stars, a couple 10" Mantas, a Triple D and a Poppa Chubby from Thorne Bros. :o. I booked my annual summer trip on the 'Goon with Terry at Merkels Camp and got to meet Steve Worral at Terry's booth. Had a great weekend in the Twin Towns and got to meet alot of great people.

Thanks to everyone we talked with or was stopped by to be asked a question, told a large mix of great jokes and just plan messed with.

Did pretty good on some real steals!
Did not really NEED anything, but had to HAVE a few things to ease the pain in me brain some.
Bonnie got in on the act again for the 8th year and with her smile, charm, wit and other fine parts, came home with a FULL bag each day for about $100 total for the weekend?
How do they do that?

Everyone we hooked up with Sat & Sun were having a lot of fun and I hope we added to it a bit.
BeeBops was a blast and the food and cold fizzy pop's hit the spot.
Mmmmmmmmmm, Big Cheese Burgers with Lots O Baconnnnnnnnnnnn.
Met a lot of the people who hang on or in and around these many Musky boards and had some good Musky RAP's going both days and a lot of heavy laughing.
Sweet weekend.
Thanks to everyone who helps put it on each season and those who showed up to make it to what looked to me to be a very, very fun and successfull Expo.

I did manage to drop a few frozen clams also, but it was spent very, very well.

Thanks everyone.

We had a blast!

T.
