Anyone have any experience with these clipped onto braided line? It recommends looping the line around the clip 2 times to keep the clip from slipping out. I plan on using these with braided line and was curious if looping it 2 times is necessary.

Forget the clips and rubber band the weights on.then just snap off the rubber band and reel the rest of the way in.

Attach a stayloc snap to the snap weight ring and clip it to the line. If the snap weight clip comes off line, it will just slide down to the swivel. Started doing this after loosing a couple. When bringing in a fish, simply undo the snap and let it slide down to the swivel if you're alone or have partner undo the stayloc snap and remove.

Are you using the OR 16 clips that have a pin in the middle to keep them from falling off?

X2 on what V18. We do this with snap weights salmon fishing. Run a short braided leader length between the eye of the clip to a snap which goes on your line.

You won't lose them if you use the red Off Shores with the small pin in the middle of the pads...
