Location: Athens, Ohio | Daggone, Treats, so sorry to hear you are laid up. I was really hoping you'd be there when me and Bubba-the-Treats-Bait landed our first muskie. I wish you could have seen the look on my face when that huge muskie followed Bubba right up to the back end of Tony's boat last year! Dag, my heart starts pounding now just thinking about it. That was a BIG fish.

When were you planning on making that run to Musky Mountain Lodge? The water on the Cave has been reported up as much as 22ft.drawing a full 6" per day, weather allowing, may be tough for awhile. We are hoping that it will steady up by the time the Muskies Inc Cabin Fever Challunge is held the second week of April. Would you be coming down for that event? Tony G. is emcee and Dick Pearson will be not only fishing the event but speaking as well on Thursday, Gregg Thomas, Perry Smith and a lot of folks from all over as the MI International Board Meetings will be held the day following this one. Should be a very memorable time. If you are coming down soon, good luck on the water levels.

| Too bad for Treats. I really don't see how a cast on one arm keeps one from fishing though(well at least not a REAL MUSKIE MAN)?
It's gonna be great at the Cave this year. The mountains are dryin out already and instead of that chill last year it is gonna be pure shirtsleeves and light rain coats this year. The musky are gonna be more plentiful than stars in the sky. They will bite as if awaking from a hundred year sleep. They will be very hungry. Boats are gonna double, triple and in some cases quadruple on musky. Bonus bass will be the rule rather than the exception. Sponge Bob and Mikie are going to have a combined total of 4 musky by the time the outing is over. There will be at least one fish boated over 45" and 2 or 3 more may or may not be. The moonshine will be made only in lead free radiators for this one. The redbud trees have decided to bloom early for this one too.
