Hi guys-
I'm thinking of buying an underwater camera. I don't need one with all the bells & whistles just one that gives a good picture of what's happening under the water where I'm fishing. I've looked at the Aqua Vu Micro II which is small with 3.5" screen & about the size of my phone. They make a bigger version with a 5" screen but not sure it's worth the extra $$ for the extra screen size & a couple additional options? I do like the that they are small, compact & seem very easy to use. Has anyone used either one of these cameras? If so, how is the picture clarity, battery life,ease of use etc.? Aqua Vu, also, offers an app for better picture clarity so not sure if that means the picture is not that good to begin with or what?? Also, I know many of you guy's love the go pro. They seem to have many options/types with those so not really sure which ones of those I should target? Not sure if battery life is affected on these smaller units due to their size vs. larger units? Any & all info on these brands to help me figure out which one I should buy is greatly appreciated.

The app (Looking Glass) is designed to make a video shot in very dirty water look like it was shot in an aquarium. It works.
We use the Micro+DVR all the time. Crystal clear video and a built in DVR. Easy to carry, simple to use, and runs about 7 hours on a single charge. You can use any USB charge source to recharge the camera on-the-go. I use one in the boat and on the ice, all year long.
Here's a couple videos shot with the camera.
The MicroII is the same camera with no DVR. The 5 is nice, but a bit larger and not as easy to handle in a boat or scouting for fish on the ice. We use our 5s mounted to a RAM on the boat or in the shack, not as a 'pocket' camera.

I've had the smaller micro version, and also the bigger "tv" style. I preferred the TV style one for ice fishing. Bigger screen, and easier to get pinpointed on an area. But the micro version is better in open water in my opinion.

Thank's for the info guy's….Steve, thank's for posting those 2 video's to look at as well. That pic is decent enough for me & I'll look into that looking glass app to clean up the picture in dirty water…..Thank's again
