Good morning everyone,
I'm wondering what you guys are thinking of my new combo for big rubbers and big blades:

STC LT Big Dawg
Shimano Tranx PG

I know that in a perfect world, I would be rich and have enough cash to buy a big nasty combined with the PG for blades and the big dawg with a HG for pounders, but, one step at the time. In the mean time, do you guys think that this combo will be well balanced and a little bit versatile out of the big rubber/blades area?

Look like you have a winner. Tranx PG can't beat it for big blades

I have a HG on a big dawg, I use it for a "do everything" combo. I LOVE it. I am sure their are better combos for more specific presentations but I have never felt lacking with this combo. I use mine for primarly jerk baits, glide baits, and rubber.

Yes that combo is expensive, but since I now only use that rod and reel and sold off my others. It is cheaper than haveing 2 mid level combos or 3 lower level combos. Plus I am not stepping on my other rods when fishing, because the only one i have is the one in myhands. It works very well for me.

You will like that setup
