| I often read of stuff going on with the North Metro Chapter of Muskies Inc., but rarely see any messages on the twin cities chapter. Is it still active? I would like to join Muskies inc, and I live in Minneapolis, and would prefer to be closer to home than the North Metro chapter. Does anyone know where I can find info on the twin cities chapter? |

I'm in charge of new membership drives etc. I just took over a couple months ago so it's still a work in process.
We meet the 2nd tuesday of the month (next week) at the Knights of Columbus in Bloomington. We're a chapter in transition right now with many of the "old timers" making way for us "new guys". It's a great time to join our chapter as we've kept the best of the old and we're working on implementing many new idea's for the future.
Feel free to drop me a line if you want more info, otherwise stop by the booth @ the expo this weekend.

I'm a member of the Twin Cities Chapter, although not real active. Its chuck full of knowledgeable nice guys and women that are a real resource. My advice is go to a meeting and introduce yourself, so people will know you're new, and you will be made to feel at home and see first hand what's going on there. My take is that the Twin Cities Chapter does not publize its activities quite as much and becasue it has no web site doesn't get quite as much attention. Hats off to the North Metro guys for their efforts there. |

Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | sorry!!! 7pm is when we meet. we usually get going by 7:15 at the latest. just ask for me when you come. I'm about 6' with dirty blond hair, probably talking to 1/2 dozen people at once  |

Seriously the Twin Cities is a great chapter that does alot of behind the scene's things (Like organizing the Mn Muskie Alliance) The meeting are worth the price alone...The members of this chapter have SO MUCH EXPERIENCE that is going untapped. Good Luck! |

| You can go to both chapters meetings,, this month at TC we have a very good speaker I think its Ted Gwynn the guide also after the meeting we usually go up to the bar at the knights and thats where you learn the best info after people get a "few" in them,,actually join the club at the expo and you get a real nice hat we have a booth there

| Interesting perception. I believe that the Twin Cities chapter is as active if not more, than most chapters. As the months get warmer, they have something going on almost all the time, plus 2 or 3 trips. I am sure that they would like to see more members participate, but I think every chapter would like to see that.

Location: Forest Lake, Mn. | In an attempt to avoid confusion,Red, the chapters general membership meeting is held the 2nd Tuesday of every month. The first Tuesday of the month is the chapter officers meeting. Hope to see you there next Tuesday |

My name is Jeff Olson and I am from the North Metro Chapter. Both the Metro Area Chapters are successful and viable and you cannot go wrong joining either group.
When you are at the Expo be sure to stop by the North Metro booth to get information on our Poolside, Tournaments, Metro Muskie League, Minnesota Stocking Reports, a Calendar of events, and way to much more information to list here-
The Expo is a great time of year!
