Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | It is just after 11:30 AM on Sunday. I've escaped the hospital! The operation went well. The doctors were having trouble getting some blood chemicals up to where they should be, so I had to stay an extra night. I have a "beautiful" zipper all across the base of my neck. My Mossy Oak Break-up Robe from Cabelas was a big hit with the nurses and other patients. I will be taking things slow for a little while, but I plan to be back in the normal swing of things in two weeks or so. Right now the neck is pretty tight and I have a sore throat which hopefully will go away this week. Thanks so much for all the well wishes and prayers. All the people from this website are class acts! Edited by Steve Van Lieshout 3/2/2003 11:44 AM

Posts: 1438 | Damn good thing to hear. You had the lot of us worried. Glad to hear things went well. Now, make sure you take the time to heal properly. Don't overdo it too soon. In bed until opening weekend sounds good to me. Scott

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | I just got my stitches out this morning. For the most part all that is noticable is a sore throat, which is getting better, and some tightness on the outside of my throat. The Dr. said things are healing quite well and that I shouldn't do anything "stupid" for a few weeks! Of course, with me I usually limit the time frame to a few seconds, for a better probability of success! Edited by Steve Van Lieshout 3/3/2003 12:18 PM

Posts: 1936 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Thanks for the update Steve.... Let us know if there are any good fishing shows on t.v. during the daytime....:) There's gotta be more to daytime t.v. than Oprah and soap opera's....? Do what the Dr.s say, no matter how hard it is to stay still...you'll be back at it well in time for opening weekend. Take Care,
