I get blisters from casting all day sometimes. I ended up taping my fingers for a few weekends, then switched to golf gloves.

The golf gloves were sweet, but I bet there are better options out there.

Anyone have a recommendation for a pair of good casting gloves?

Was thinking about these:

There is a foam glove called Nitex . I love this glove for casting and so does the mrs. It's a foam, and yes, the thumb will wear, but very hand friendly, with good grip. The good part is they are very inexpensive, and I have several pair handy on my Canada trips. Golf gloves work, but twice the price, and not quite as cushy as the Nitex.

Well's Lamont makes fingerless gloves, super lightweight leather palm..under $5 - I'd try those.

We do NOT experience Hot hands with these gloves. If anything, coolness, as they get damp.

Give them a try. They won't break the bank if you don't like them. About 4$ a pair. I carry 3 or 4 pairs in the boat.
