I will be in the Brainerd area for the new moon at the end of June. It should be one of the best weekends of the summer, per the calendar. My fishing options appear to be Alexander, Shamineau, Mille Lacs or the Mississippi River. I do not know any of them and would appreciate opinions on which of these is likely to produce the best numbers? I'll have a muskie newbie with me and would like to pursue the best chance to get him his first.

Your thoughts are appreciated!

I would fish Alexander or shamineau. Mille lacs has turned into a hard fish, and the river is always changing. Not as good of a chance at an absolute monster in thesem lakes but there are big ones in the waters. Lots if options if it is windy as well
