What are you going to be throwing? You really only have the Calcutta and Curado 300 left.

what do you want to do .I like my TE'S over the 400D. the 400D is ok but its no TE. I have my 400 D for one bait . to switch the breaks is a pain so if you want to use different weight baits its a pain, the TE is much easyer to switch the weights .I have 10 different set up for my casting so its not a big deal for me to grab a different set up .

so you recommend the TE over the D model ??
or should I just get another Tranx?

Looking for a reel to use with the slingblade and 1 to 6 oz baits

I have a 400 TE on my Sling Blade and I think its a perfect balance. Curado would feel too small but that is perfect on my jerkbait rod and the Tranx is perfect on my Big Nasty but I think it would feel too big on the Sling Blade.

I'd go old school Shimano with the Bantam 500.

Tough to beat a 400B for most applications.

You could get a Conquest for ~ the price of a Tranx.

I personally use a Curado 300 on my Slingblade and like it. I do have a Tranx that I've put on it, but I believe it will be a better match for my [new] Big Nasty or Predator rod.

curado 300ej!!!!

2x. Just got Curado 300Ej and Sling Blade for smaller blades and top waters. I can even see using it for pull baits for the line pick up.
