Posts: 349 | The cabins are gorgeous, nicest place I've stayed at in that area by far. The water in Whitefish Bay is extremely clear, not positive about Regina Bay but I think it's pretty clear as well. I've only been there in March so can't comment on July fishing.

Location: Oswego, IL | Anyone else have any info? Should I be prepared to make a trip to fish the west side of the lake, and stay in stained water?

Posts: 118 | very nice resort from what I've seen......got a 44 in Whitefish last year.....have never seen any musky guys in Regina or Lobstick....don't know why.....I'm generally going way west to find musky water.....it's a long ride for sure tho....I'll be up there the same time....around the corner up long bay....spent some time fishing the Fire island area....never saw a fish tho.....if its your fist time on LOTW's you'll love it....

Location: Oswego, IL | Not my first, but first in that area. Been to the NW Angle every year but the last one which I stated in Sab Bay. Going once a year I should just stick to the areas I've gotten to know (Angle). To big of a place to figure out in a week, especially if you roll across any bad weather during that time.

Posts: 32922 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I've fished it extensively. Regina has never given up a muskie to my rig, but sure has some really big Pike, LM bass, and SM bass. I've caught quite a few big girls right in the Narrows, from Fire Island down to Log and even Witch bay. If there's a can on it, fish it. If it looks like weeds and rocks, fish it. VERY clear water, fish early, late and cloudy days hard. Make long casts to where you think the fish are holding. Bucktails and spinnerbaits produced for me well, so did any number of different crankbaits and topwaters. I really like fishing that area.

Posts: 906 Location: Warroad, Mn | Fished Whitefish Bay a lot (had a cabin there for 25 years). It seemed to me that the best Muskie waters where down in the south in the areas of Timber and Bell Islands. Many-many classic looking muskies spots. Most of them actually have Muskies on them. I wouldn't spend much time in Regina Bay. It's a real long run from Whitefish back to the Angle. If you want to fish dark water head north toward the Shore island area or west toward the Sunset and Dead Broke channels. This is darker water. Tomahawk is a nice resort, used to stay there many years ago when fishing springtime Lakers. Doug Johnson
