For those of you that are able would you please give me your feedback (Positive and Negative) about the Crestliner 1760 Raptor. If I get one the primary target will be muskies. Like many rigs the rod storage is too short but that can be corrected. Too bad they don't do that at the factory right away.

Candid Feedback is apprecitated.

Thanks

A friend of mine owns one. I really like the boat. An essentially 18' boat with 96" beam that comes in around 1400# is light compared to other boats in its class from Lund and Alumacraft. It really scoots with a 150 opti. Crestliner is a good value IMO. Personally, I would not buy a boat with a center rod storage that couldn't handle up to 9' muskie rods. I bought a boat without center rod storage for that very reason, I'd rather not have it if it can't hold my rods. So just make sure you can modify it to take your longer rods, because from the factory its really short. Aside from short rod storage, I think its one of the better aluminum rigs out there.

You are absolutey correct in regard to the short rod lockers. I almost wish the manufactures would give us an option of either no center rod locker and more dry storage. It would be hard to spend $xxxxx dollars on a rig that a guy can't put his $400 big dawg + $500 Tranx in the rod locker to lock up at night. The frustrating thing is IT CAN BE DONE but they just are not doing it yet.

But thanks for the feedback on the Raptor
