I'm looking for suggestions on smaller lakes to target for a weekend trip sometime in August or September. Looking for something at most 3 hours from the TC metro area and less then 1000 acres. The idea is to leave Friday after work and fish Saturday and part of Sunday and while I'll just fish for musky, the other two like to split their time between musky hunting and catching fish. We fish out of a 16' alumacraft and thus we want a smaller lake where we don't have to worry about being blown off the lake. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I might suggest the Longville area..not sure about exact acreages but there are a handful of smaller lakes that will have what you are looking for and would be within the driving distances you seek.

Grand Rapids area would also fill that bill
