Location: Germantown, WI | I have never been to LOTW, and can't quite get my head around the size. Now I fish a lot of waters in WI that are 500-3500 acres...... I'm trying to understand, how much water in just witch bay or Andrews bay (probably twice size of witch by look of it).
So any idea of size in acres? If not acres, any other measurement you can give me to help me understand....... Miles long or wide, miles of shoreline, how long in a boat at a certain speed to go one end to other, or whatever
Thanks in advance... |

Location: Smith Creek | It's been a while, but I seem to remember there being a lot of dead water in both (<4', slop).
Seems like Witch fished like a 800 acre lake and Andrews fished like a 1500 acre lake? I think we fished almost all of Witch in half a day. |

| Witch Bay is approximately 5 miles long and about 1/2 to 3/4 mile wide. Andrews is about 6 miles long and about 3 miles wide at its widest part, but about 1 mile wide for the most part. A square mile is 640 acres, so the math on that is roughly 2000 acres for Witch Bay and roughly 6,000 acres or so for Andrews.
But there are some shallow backwater bays at the far east and west ends of Witch that would make it seem a bit smaller.
