Retire. Life is for enjoyment.

Part time jobs aren't difficult to find. Start with option A. Proceed to option B if necessary.

As soon as I hit the lottery I'm done.

I am retire over a year ago. I go fishing, metal detecting to look for old coins, look for fossils and 2 telescopes to look at stars at night. If you don't have mortgage and owe money to bank or car then why not go for retire! Life is short and time fly is so fast. Remember that you cant turn clock back! If you don't have any other hobby and maybe work part time but not for me!

Do you work at Boscobel?

I'd get the hell out of dodge and spend a little time in Minnesota, preferably permanently.... Always gonna love The Pack though!

Nope but close. Richland Center PD.

I find it hard to believe there is question what to do here. I just hope to retire before I die. So if your not sure what to do , keep working. That way there's one less boat on the lake when I use vacation to go fishing.

Sell your fishing gear and your boat and take up golf. Golf is awesome. Fishing is a lot like work.

Maybe I should have worded this differently. I WILL be retiring from my current job this spring. My wife thinks I should just relax and not get another job. I just can't see myself not working at something.
I musky fish, panfish, icefish, trout fish, hunt deer with rifle and bow. I golf (if you can call what I do golfing). Prior to having surgery on my shoulder last March I was back into weight lifting and riding the old bike.
We live out in the country and have 21 acres. Plenty of lawn to mow and things to do around the house. Lots of driveway plowing this year.
In the past I had help coach track (shot put and discus throw) at the local high school.
These are things I like to do. I just can't see myself not working at some kind of job at my age.
Maybe the problem is that I am used to being in charge, in control sort of speak. A problem solver. My problem is that I can't seem to figure out what my problem is!

Ken, retire and you will be surprised at how much time you burn up fishing, hunting, enjoying the outdoors and home project's. I can't wait to retire so I can guide full time and snow plow. I pay income tax on 4 different jobs a year. Been working at SPX for 29.5 years. Sure wish I could retire from that 40 hour a week job and plan my working hours myself. Maybe not snow plowing. Kinda controlled by the weather in the winter.
Retire and enjoy life. You earned it. I got 2 more years then we can play.
Start writing down things you want to do and go see. Then look at the calendar to see how you can start to fill it up. You will be surprised at how full it will get.

Just a list of things I want to do around home:
Learn more in detail about more lakes close to home.
Shed hunt more and learn more about my local deer heard.
Get more involved in Pewaukee's WFT (Walleyes for Tomorrow) spring spawning egg collection, hatching and releasing millions of fry into Pewaukee Lake each year.
Work with kids more with Muskies Inc and Cop's & Bobbers.
Home improvement stuff.

This is just Spring stuff. I got my hunting land and cabin to work on. Turkey hunting.

Also want to see the west and some of the south with my wife. RV travel for months at a time.

I could keep going and going.

Retire and enjoy. The golden years suck from what everyone says. Do it now while you can.

Sounds like you won't need to get a job with all that land and all your hobbies. If you do get a job, get one at a sports shop where you can talk to others about the things you love. And get a discount. Those kind of jobs are more fun than work.

That is something ONLY YOU can answer for yourself....

If it were me?? I know what I'm doing...I have a plan....When I retire, within 7 years (God willing of course) I want to buy a place in FLA and have a place Near St Clair...Live in FLA for the winter and guide; Live in ONT. for the summer and guide.

Continue to make baits at my leisure
