| I got a premier spinning heavy rod paired with 5000 stradic. Its rated up to 1.5oz. I have a lot of Magnum rapalas which are perfect for it so I think I have the crankbaits covered. Besides those, what other type, model, size baits do you recommending for an outfit such as this?
Do you think I can go over the 1.5oz rating without too many issues, ex: 3oz glidebaits or jerkbaits etc.? |

Location: Sycamore, IL | I've got the same rod and primarily use it for fishing jig and creature type set ups. I would think it would be ok with smaller spinners like mepps #5/ muskie magnum/ the little buchertails, ect. Good luck! |

Large floating Rapala!
Are the hooks strong enough or do you upgrade them? |

Location: Dixon, IL | Upgrade treble hooks. Gamakatsu or VMC treble hooks. New Rapala have pretty good treble hooks. Hook musky is no problem! |
