Hey all,
I'm on the search for some bibs for the girlfriend, preferably insulated if possible.
Anyone had any success buying some good bibs for their ladyfriend or any lady-anglers want point me in the right direction??

I've looked at Simms, Columbia, Frabill, and others but mostly everything is only available for men, which I'm not opposed to buying her a men's small, but just want to make sure I'm not missing an obvious answer.

Our family uses the Frabill bibs. Ice Suit for really cold, Frabill Suit for layering.

You might also want to check on snowmobile bibs. That industry is miles ahead of fishing when it comes to women's garments.

X2. Snowmobile gear companies make tons of really nice and warm gear that is fitted for women.

I got my wife her pair from Gander Mountain. There was a nice sale on them about three years ago after the holidays. I want to say they were $60 or so. Can't remember the brand, but I think they were like mine and mine are the Gander Mountain Guide Wear brand.

And best of all, she loves them. Wears them often when fishing in spring and fall.

Generally, snowmobile bibs are not articulated the same, do not have the padded knees and seat for sitting and kneeling in slush, and lack D rings and pockets designed for ice fishing accessories. Pay particular attention to the shoulder straps and vents and how they work as well, cam buckles and straps that adjust precisely and allow movement while insuring a good, warm fit for handling tip ups and sitting in the shack comfortably make for a much more comfortable day on the ice or in the boat.

I had good luck with the Guide Series at Gander Mountain. The wife loves them and pretty affordable.

I haven't used or seen these in person yet, but if I was in the market I would consider these.
