Keyes way stepped it up this year(no thanks to me. I was zero for the season!) That was the coolest musky show I've seen in years! Catching fish that big in water that small is epic! Can't we get over the whole "sacred cow" mentality. It's getting old! Everyone on this website has intentionally injured and killed(delayed mortality) muskies.

Big Fish 365 was one of the best the short time it was on imo.. hope Lee can find a way to get back on the air... I enjoy the Next Bite musky segments and the old Badfish shows were pretty "real" ... some shows these days are simply infomercials for whatever resort they are staying at or baits they are sponsored by or make...

Moltisanti - 1/8/2014 10:05 AM That Keyes episode was one of the most entertaining shows I've watched in a long time. I would love to try that in some of the feeder creeks around here. If we are really at the point where catch and release fishing during the open season is frowned upon, then I know why people who don't fish muskies hate us.

Fishing the smaller rivers & streams for musly is nothing new. The Linder's have many of those types of musky shows. Keys is just following their lead.

I've never seen Lindners wade fishing a stream for muskies. Always been in bigger rivers in a boat. Could be wrong but don't think so.

Not wading but they fish out of a smaller boat & have had to get out of the boat to pull the boat through some rough stuff.

I know of smaller musky creek here in Michigan than the one Keyes was fishing. The DNR closes it off to fishing until a month after the opener to protect the late spawning fish. Still holds musky in the summer but mostly small ones.

My point was that I agree it was a different show than everyone else does. I grew up fishing small creeks for trout, and dabbled with steelhead for several years, and it reminded me of that only with bigger fish. I thought it was a good show for a change.

My vote is for Musky Hunter...for me I find the show the best for learning specifics, plus the show doesn't feel like an info-commercial.

I don't know anyone that works harder to produce awesome muskie shows more than Mike Keyes!

I also DVR Saric and Bucher, but fast forwar through Bucher's smallie segments.

i have stop to watch them years ago.im waiting for the one that will use the good things even if he don't get paid for using it.kind of boring to see the same lures years after years.it must be not always funny when you don't have the freedom to use what you want when you want.at the end it's just less big fish on the tv and less useful info for the viewers.

You do realize that these people are trying to make a living filming muskie shows, right? (it's their job) Because a $$ paying sponser probably wants to see you use his product in the show- that he's paying you $$$ to make, and in turn you're paying a network $$ to have it aired. This isn't rocket science. . .

Also, Keyes shows are freaking great. Down to earth regular guy I can relate to, who gets pumped up and obviously loves muskie fishing. Musky Hunter, NextBite, Hunt for Big Fish, Linders Edge, In-Fish, All of them.......Awesome. I am happy people are willing to put the time and work in to get the required sponsorship $$$ to entertain me in the off-season. I will gladly try to use the products that pay them to produce these shows.

Unless they're trust fund babies, how do you expect anyone to put on a TV show? Sponsors pay the $$$.

I'm just happy that if I don't feel like ice fishing Saturday or Sunday mornings, I can lay in my jammies and watch muskie fishing! How cool is that?

Keyes Outdoors. Musky Hunter. Next Bite & Dahlberg. Loosing interest with Bucher fishing LOW over and over but have to respect all of them for putting their shows out. It's not easy to do so hats off to all that give it a go!

I would like to see someone like Dahlberg work with Charter and put a whole group of Muskie related shows together under their Primetime Free Sports section in On Demand from December through April. Even if they were last years shows. Why LD? because we'd have to get the word out, Charter pulls what is not getting viewed, or if there is a chance to SELL the programing. I would be regular viewer several times a week. Come April I can live without TV on the weekends, I'm outside, hopefully FLOATING!

I am going to have to add Keyes to my list after the first 2 shows of this year. I have really enjoyed both shows so far and it is great that they are free to watch on the internet.

I do like both the Musky Hunter and Keyes Outdoors, but I think it'd be cool if someone did a musky show like In-Depth Outdoors where all the shows were filmed during week prior. That way you'd see what's working currently and not when you're locked up dreaming about muskies. Might be tough to do a weekly show, but I'd imagine if you had several contributors in different locations it'd be possible. Now, that'd be awesome.
