| 3M is really popular here, and I think Dougj mentioned in a post last year to have them proffesionally put on; I hope to have them put on my skiff this spring....all I know! |

Location: Eau Claire, WI | I've used Gator guards and "Keel Guard" brands with good success.
Depending on how long of one you want will depend on how user friendly it is to work with.
The real key is getting the hull "ultra-clean" so the adhesive sticks properly.
Around my area service dealers want $100 to install them...if they do it wrong you have someone to go back on. If you do it wrong you get to spend at least another $100 buying another one.

Location: Minneapolis, MN | Get a Hamby's, the best available. www.hambys.com They have two flavors a thinner version of the orginal for do-it-yourselfers and their original which is pro only installation. The original is VERY thick and tricky to install. It is that thickness that makes it strong and resistent to damage. If you can spare the cash, get the original Hamby's IMHO |

| I'm not sure what brands are the best, but from what everyone told me to install on properly the boat should be hoisted up off of the trailor and worked on that way. The hull has to "prepped" for the guards to adhere propberly. Whatever brand you choose, I would have it instlled. God Bless.

Location: Plainfield IL | I went the more affordable way and bought the Keel Guard brand that uses adhesive. I installed with my brother, it was a rather easy process. I think total cost was $120. I looked into the Hambys and they were in the $3-400 range. So far so good, no problems with it at all. Just follow the directions and all is good. The only other product I needed was some rubbing alcohol to clean the hull. Either way you wont go wrong.
