Posts: 537 Location: Gilberts IL/Rhinelander WI | I use a Lakewood that fits 5 Plano cases, 8 dawgs per. It works ok. I got the Lakewood here for 40$. The just encase boxes look great, but I'm not spending even half of what they cost on a tackle box.

Posts: 231 | Jerome, here's my Just Encase Pounder Box, 25Lx14.6Wx14H. Each slot holds 4 pounders easily, and there's 15 slots:

I used this just 2x4s 1/2" plywood with marine carpet attached to the lid. And the lexan sheets I found at ace hardware and cut them to fit. Whole project cost less that $75 and I can stand on it. And its lockable Attachments ---------------- PicsArt_1386431990003.jpg (144KB - 183 downloads)

Posts: 364 Location: Central Wisconsin | The big Justen Case would fit one per slot. This is a custom 15"x w 19"x l 37". If its too tight some of the dividers come out to open up space. I had no problem fitting monster medussas in 1 slot. TI pounders fit too. Plus they look so good on the boat. Attachments ---------------- 20131001_183636.jpg (81KB - 192 downloads)

Posts: 833 | Another method is to use the larger Plano plastic cases, I think is the XL Pro Latch, to store 7 Pounders per case. I can store two of these in my re-purposed rod locker. These boxes run about $18/ pop. I like this option as it keep the baits in storage vs. cluttering up the boat. You can also store 3 in the 3700 series box. I can store 4 or 5 of those my rod locker, plus others in other storage areas. Just Encase will work great as well, but they are also the high end of the price scale. Lots of options, depends on how many you want in the boat and how you'd like to allocate your valuable boat space.
